Are you sure that nothing else is wrong with your pulley system? Do you hear screeching, etc? If you do, a pulley somewhere else is bad. Take the serpentine belt off and manually rotate the pulleys. They should glide smoothly. If one hangs or feels gritty, replace it. Also, you probably need to make sure you torqued them properly. I can't imagine that they just tightened them until they couldn't be tightened any further.
