How good is genesis is terms of reliability and what is the max amount of milage I should buy a used one for, specifically looking at the g70 2.0t sport. I am on a 27k budget, are there any other similar cars that are reliable in the same price range.

Genesis is just an upscale Hyundai, and the more recent ones tend to become oil burners, if they aren't oil burners already. If you value your money, run away.

Lexus and Acura are both good brands. Lexus is an upscale Toyota, and Acura is an upscale Honda.
Don’t even think about a Hyundai Motor Group product if you value your money.

I got to check out one of those babies, and I thought the design and fit and finish was remarkable. TBH, I thought the fit and finish to be better than a modern Toyota. (Toyota seems to have digressed slightly on fit and finish.)
Sadly, I’m not too fond of Genesis/Hyuandai drivetrain, especially with an engine co-created with Chrysler back in the day.
Toyota fit and finish can be slightly subpar if it's reliable. Genesis isn't very reliable and it's shiny, so people think they're reliable.
