What’s better a 5.3L V8 (AFM DISABLED) or a 5.0L coyote?

Hey Scotty I have a 2014 silverado with the 5.3L been a good truck so far got 135.2k miles and I use an AFM disabler

is the 5.3L better then the 5.0L coyote when you disable 4 cylinder mode?

also are the ten speed transmissions fixed yet my dad has to buy a new truck this summer I know the ten speeds had issues when they were brand new.

thanks

Yeah I wouldn't buy one of those modern tent speeds either and if you do get rid of the disabling on the GM it is a pretty good engine problem is it's connected to GM transmission so that aren't that good they generally all fall apart by the time they reach 150k or so

Ok so would it be better to get a new Ford 150 with the ten speed

Or get another Silverado with the eight speed and just shut off the AFM again? I know the eight speeds had issues in the past but now they’re fixed last I heard when they switched to mobile on fluid
