Scotty, I don't want to get rammed by mechanic or dealer for repairs. With all the price increase on MSRP, might as well get it fixed and keep going. Hopefully she got a year or two in her.
2011 Ford Edge Limited 3.5L, somewhere round 175K mi. Before I deployed I was driving my truck from work and went in a drive-thru. With my foot on the brakes, truck turned completely off. Before that I was having a problem where the brakes were super spongy and would not engage properly when pressed on brake pedal.
What work should I be looking to invest in?

Could be a leaking power brake booster, which would affect the engine too.
Interesting that you call your SUV a truck.
