If buying a car using KBB, make sure to look at the car in person and using your judgement to come up with a fair price keeping the KBB value in mind.

The only KBB values I would use would be KBB trade in values, which I would use in PRIVATE PARTY sales. They are just ripping you off like Joe said. KBB values lines up with prices you commonly see on both dealer and private party sales but honestly in the real world it works differently.

KBB is owned by Cox Enterprises. Autotrader is also a brand of the group. There total revinue is 21 billion USD. They have investments for car companies and have dealer software providers.

Would you trust them to give accurate car values?

KBB is owned by a parent company owned by autotrader.com. They have a vested interest in overvaluing used cars to make max profits on used car sales on the site. Trust what people in your area are paying for cars. The stuff online is a bunch of nonsense. {black}:suspicious:

anybody who tells you "KBB undervalues" is trying to rip you off.

I've always preferred using Edmunds or at least compare KBB with Edmunds to see how close they are.
