When should I do my first oil change?

My 2022 Škoda Fabia 1.0 TSI which I got in March has just hit 13 048 km (8 107 miles).

I do 90 % highway driving.

Volkswagen said the oil change should be done at 30 000 km (18 641 miles).

I don´t want to do it so late.

When should I go for an oil change?

Thanks.

Don't listen to factory high mile oil change interval. Those intervals are to get vehicles thru the warranty period as quickly as possible, and after that you're on your own. Change oil every 5000 miles/ 8 km.

You should do it now. Volkswagen saying to change it every 30,000km sounds like total gobbledygook

Never trust the factories saying 30.000km is enough for oil change. Do it every 10.000km

Right now.

I would do the First at 1,000 miles then every 5,000 miles thereafter the first i do so early because of break-in debris that can clog oil filter
