When to change/flush brake fluid?

Scotty,

I love your videos! I have a 2018 Honda Pilot 6 speed automatic AWD with 32k miles. I drive about 12k miles per year. The manual says to change the brake fluid every 3 years. Do I really need to do this or can it wait until I change pads and rotors?

thanks for all your helpful information!

Best to do it if you plan to keep the vehicle a long time and don't want problems with your hydraulic system and ABS.

Yes, it should be done every 3 years especially with DOT 4 and 5.1 brake fluids. Very simple to do with a $40 brake bleeder from Harbor Freight (and personal air compressor).
