I'm moving from Denmark to South Texas in the summer and that means I need a vehicle for transportation.
My research tells me I should buy a Ford F150 5.0 V8.
My questions are as following;
Where should I look? Northern Texas? Craigslist?
Dealer or private?
How should I finance it? (Remember my credit score is non-existent)
Is $8000 enough to buy a truck in good shape or how much should I pay?
What should I look for when trying it?
I have knowledge of mechanics since I'm a tow truck driver and used to be a mechanics apprentice.

It's always best to go private party but realize pickup trucks go for high dollar in Texas they're very popular. So look around Craigslist is a good place to start cuz you can put different parameters in it since you know a bit about trucks you can tell whether it's a clunker or not when you check it out

I've been looking on Facebook market a lot but the trucks are just really expensive and I just want a truck I can keep for many years but I don't want to overpay since I'm a cheapskate 😀
