Hi Scotty!
I hope this email is private. First, thanks for the car shows on youtube. I chanced upon them several years ago. Even though I know nothing about cars, they are fun to watch. Will you advise me on which car to buy being on a limited budget, please? I am looking for a compact car with reliability/dependability - want this car to last for many years. It is between:
Car A: 2004 Honda Civic LX, roughly 99k miles (Total drive out cost, @ $4600.00)
Car B: 2006 Toyota Matrix 5dr Wgn STD, roughly 63k miles (Total drive out cost, @ $6900.00)
Thanks, Scotty!
Both are excellent. I would go with the matrix, it's bigger and doesn't have a timing belt like the honda civic.
Toyota automatic transmissions are stronger than Honda's. I would go Toyota if the cars have automatic transmissions.
Have them checked out by a mechanic. If one has problems buy the other one. If both are good, as others have said the Toyota is going to be the best bet for automatic transmission.
