I've got a 2002 Honda Accord with 123k miles on it. It runs and drives fine, but it is still a 20+ year old car, so I want to try and get something newer. I'm looking at two possibly choices. One is a fully loaded 2010 Lincoln mks that's AWD, has the 3.7 V6, and has a bit over 102k miles on it with an automatic transmission. The other is a 2013 Honda Accord sport with 140k miles on it. But the thing is, it has a 1 speed CVT transmission. For the most part, I think CVT's are terrible but I did hear that the ones that Honda makes are good. But I wanted to just get other options. Which would be the better choice?

Have you considered a Camry? This way you get something without the CVT, if you look carefully. However, when it comes to CVT I would say it all depends on the type of maintenance its had. if the transmission is well looked after you should be fine.

You're not really comparing apples to apples one's a semi luxury car and one is a somewhat sporty car

Have you thought about an Avalon

Honda Accord CVT is awesome. If you didn't know it had a CVT, you would think it's a conventional automatic.

if your current car runs and drives fine have you thought about instead of getting something else spending a smaller amount to do an upgrade to make the old car feel newer? Installing a new android auto and a backup camera and then a good interior/exterior detail could make the old car feel “new”. It’s already a car you know and doing this could save you some headaches and money. Just good for thought.
