Hey Scotty!
I've been digging around some info about the Toyota 1MZ-FE (3.0L V6) and 3MZ-FE (3.3L V6) engines. I've heard that the 1MZ engine has to get its valves adjusted and/or get its shims replaced every 60k miles or so and looking to see if the 3MZ engine does need anything adjusted or replaced under the valve covers occasionally?
I know that they're both ran on timing belts and the 1MZ is non-interference while the later 3MZ engine is interference.
Other than that, that's all I would know for now besides Mass Air flow sensors and Oxygen sensors being worn out.
Anyways, which engine is better for less maintenance being needed when everything within it starts to age?
Wow they're both decent engines but I'd go for the 3 l because it's not interference myself
