Hi! Honored to receive your advice.
I’m in the market for a truck or SUV. I’m trying to decide between a Chevy Avalanche, Toyota 4Runner, Toyota Tacoma, Ford F150, Ford Explorer, or Dodge Ram. My budget is $8,000-$10,000 so older vehicles - nothing new.
Thanks in advance and waiting your response! 🙏

First, nail down what you want, that's a pretty large list, lol. Do you want a full-size truck or a midsize truck? If you don't haul much, a midsize is fine. Go with a Toyota Tacoma. Chevrolet Avalanches were decent trucks in their day, but those days are pretty numbered, now. Older F-150s are also decent, but have a mechanic check things, first.
Stay away from Dodge, unless you can get a Cummins turbodiesel.
Older Explorers are decent, but also pretty much past their prime. Stay away from cars before 2002, those were based on the Ford Ranger and they weren't designed to have an SUV body on top or a truck, only the truck. As a result, they tend to tip over more easily (higher center of gravity). Also, stay away from newer Explorers with EcoBoost engines. They also changed to a unibody, not a body-on-frame, so they're not as durable as they were previously.
Thanks for the advice! The really helps! 🙏
