Hello Scotty I wanna get a Ford F-150 used and thinking of getting one between the years 2010-2014. Also I’m wanting the v8 5.0 liters. Just not sure years to avoid And also what problems to expect when they’re that age.
Thanks!

@mod_man would give a good answer, which I believe would be a very simple to the point summary.
Definitely avoid anything 2018+. And anything with a 5.4L V8 3V Triton. And anything with an EcoBoost motor.
Have you looked at Tundras?
I have looked at tundras, but they are a bit more expensive than the fords yet they’re more reliable with proper care. It’s also easier to find a ford at a good price for the miles/year. If I happen to choose a tundra what year/engine you would recommend?
You get what you pay for with the Tundra, and you get less for what you pay for the F-150
@Gusbus_237 I would shoot for a 2010 or newer with the 5.7L V8.
Avoid any F-150 with the 5.4L Triton V8 engine - they were absolute garbage. Check out this video by Car Wizard for further info: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=xcN_WcGr4BU
Any other V8 F-150 should be a pretty solid choice.
Avoid ALL of them.
I would avoid any ford 150 made after 1995.
