Whine

2010 Dodge Challenger 3.5 V6 100k miles. Car started making like a whining noise, doesn’t sound that hard from the outside, more so inside of the car if you pay close attention if not only when accelerating you can hear it. Thought maybe it was something about the tranny, but its not slipping, gets every gear correctly and no loss in power. What could it be, it gets higher when acceleration, even in neutral and park. Also no code has been tripped.

If it whines when in N or P, then it is probably an engine-related whine. Get under the hood with a long screwdriver or mechanics stethoscope.

You think it could be the alternator?

That's what I'd look at first - second, the tensioner. Bearings gradually get louder as they wear out.
