Who manufactures the auto transmission in a 2013 VW Beetle with the 2.5l 5 cyl?

Thanks!  My goddaughter went and bought one of these things, and I can find little to no information on servicing, maintaining, etc. The dedicated forums seem pretty dead.  Any information appreciated!  Thanks in advance.

So, after getting a look at the unit itself, and doing a bit more research, I have determined that this is the "standard six-speed" non-DSG transmission, manufactured by Asin Warner, model 09G. It looks exactly like the ones I have seen in Siennas, etc. So, anyone out there know if I can use my Toyota WS transmission fluid in this unit? A specialty company sells a kit with a filter and gasket, as well as VW ATF Transmission Fluid G 055 540 A2 - 2010-18 - Ravenol T-WS. Is this the same fluid I see folks using in their 4Runners, etc? Thanks!

I would turn this into a new question to get more responses

Thanks, I will do that.

That would be Volkswagen themselves.

Just a question would that be the 6 speed wet DSG. I believe the name of what I am talking about is DQ250.

Indeed it would. 🙂

To view the common complaints from owners of 2013 Volkswagen Beetles, https://www.carcomplaints.com/Volkswagen/Beetle/2013/

The transmission: "All engines for this model are offered with an option of a six-speed manual transmission or the option of a dual-clutch DSG automatic. In the United States, transmissions on petrol models come with either a five-speed manual or optional six-speed automatic on 2.5/1.8T models, while on the diesel models there is the option of a DSG six-speed dual-clutch transmission."
