Hey Scotty (and producers?) -
love watching your videos. Hope you keep going for years to come! It is nice to see unbiased opinion with integrity.
However, I have this one thing against you: what’s with the clickbait video titles? I know they add some fun and entertainment value, but you often can’t tell what the video is actually about until you get into it a ways. Plus, kind of undermines your reputation as a “straight shooter”. (That, and the recent ones with a political connotation are maybe going too far)
Anyway, that said, the videos themselves are fun, entertaining, irreverent, informative, and very refreshing. Plus, since you inspired me to work on my own car you’ve saved me a couple thousand dollars in mechanic bills 😉
While they can get annoying, I think they are a little fun and enjoy them, and I'm sure they have worked in drawing many to the channel. However, I do chuckle when the And I'm buying one comes up, as we know Scotty will drive his Toyotas until the world stops turning.
However it might be a good idea to lessen down on that a bit.
After you've been watching Scotty's videos for a while you learn to just ignore the titles aside from their possible entertainment value.
Maybe @scottykilmer can make sure th notes to each video clearly list the topics so we can quickly reference that while he maintains his signature titles
I've actually enjoyed the political titles more than any of the others. Adds some humor to a humorless time.
I like that he is able to always think of something original. If he posted videos titled "1998 Pathfinder with Issues" it would be hard to know what else he talked about and also blend in with all the other junk on YouTube.
thats right
At beginning of this video Scotty explains why he uses clickbait titles:

More views means more YT money. Not bad.
That and that he is a Japanese car fanboy are the only things I have against him. Not hating on Japanese cars by the way they are good but a bit soulless.
Scotty and others (including myself) are focused on quality, durability, reliability, and helping people get the most for their money, and the Japanese seem to do better in that regard, but no automaker is perfect. It may seem like him and others are fanboys, but we are just going off the data and experience (Scotty and others work on these cars). Scotty also calls out Japanese cars sometimes when they get something wrong, and gives smart advice to people who still want to get German cars or less reliable cars. I personally want all automakers to build reliable cars.
I completely get the mindset of a to b durability and reliability. I wish all cars were reliable too! I will agree a japanese car is ussually a great choice if you are trying to get the most for your money, but I guess what I am saying is I feel he doesn't talk about other reliable cars that are outside the japanese brands as much as other brands like volvo.
Meh. I’ve gotten used to them, and actually started to like them. Especially the political ones. I think of them as satire.
He acutally has some years old videos, where title explains what he is talking about.
