I have a 2014 Kia Sportage and it has around 145k miles on it. Sometimes when I try to speed up quickly, the car doesn't respond and I have to get off the gas then get back onto it for it to accelerate quicker. What could be causing it cause my other vehicles doesn't have this issue. I have an automatic Sportage.

If there are no check engine codes, start with the usual (and inexpensive ) items, if not done recently - new air filter and spark plugs, clean MAF and throttle body per this video - let us know if there's no improvement.

When is the last time the fuel filter was changed?

If you mean it won’t kick down, you might also want to check your automatic transmission.
