[Solved] Why is there grease on the inside of my wheel and lower control arm?

I have a 2018 Honda Civic Type R, and I noticed there is grease on the inside of my wheel and lower control arm on the driver side.

I have cleaned the wheel and it keeps happening. You can see the grease stain on my lower suspension parts after I wiped the grease away. Is it my CV boot? I can make out a slight nick in the below picture.

If I do replace the entire CV axle, should I replace both at the same time?

Thank you!

ended up being a pinhole in the boot

I wouldn't worry about it. It's free rust repellent

hahahha that's true! I'm worried about whatever is leaking losing too much grease and ending up causing other problems down the line..

You could try rubber cement, or some good tape to seal it up. Do you still have warranty?

easier yet ... try those peel+stick bicycle inner tube patch kits. very inexpensive.

Doesn't hurt to just change one, especially how expensive an oem will run you.

You didn't happen to lower your Type-R?

It is lowered

We had a 2018 Civic sport until recently so in the forums and noticed reading that seems to happen to lowered R's.

Looks like the boot is OK.  I would look at the wheel bearing inner seal.

You may also want to see if it's coming from a grease fitting.
