why is my air compressor losing pressure?

Heu Scotty, i want to ask u why my air compressor is losing some air pressure when it charging to the maximum pressure.......the motor will cut off at 115psi, then i can see the meter gauge will slowly come down to 110psi then it will stop losing air pressure at 110psi....i cant hear any hissing sound, i cant see any air bubbles when i put some soapy water on every joint on the air compressor.......izzit the faulty check valve? please advice, thank you

If the compressor holds the 110 psi for a reasonable time - say more than 20 minutes - I would think what you have is a flaw in the gauge design or manufacture. Is it under warranty?

no, the warranty is over, so is it normal if this happen?

You are not likely to get better than + or - 5%  accuracy in the gauge readings  in consumer-grade air compressors. I wish my car and motorcycle speedometers were within 5% accuracy!
