Heu Scotty, i want to ask u why my air compressor is losing some air pressure when it charging to the maximum pressure.......the motor will cut off at 115psi, then i can see the meter gauge will slowly come down to 110psi then it will stop losing air pressure at 110psi....i cant hear any hissing sound, i cant see any air bubbles when i put some soapy water on every joint on the air compressor.......izzit the faulty check valve? please advice, thank you
If the compressor holds the 110 psi for a reasonable time - say more than 20 minutes - I would think what you have is a flaw in the gauge design or manufacture. Is it under warranty?
@glen_stet
no, the warranty is over, so is it normal if this happen?
You are not likely to get better than + or - 5% accuracy in the gauge readings in consumer-grade air compressors. I wish my car and motorcycle speedometers were within 5% accuracy!
