My Mom bought a 2018 C-HR from Toyota of Puyallup, they gave a limited warranty with it as it's a certified used car. It's battery had died and I plugged in a scan tool and saw errors. After replacing battery and clearing the codes they all came back. After taking the car to the service department they did a "multi point inspection" and changes her oil. Nothing on the inspection said checking or clearing codes. They told her not to worry about it unless she gets a check engine light... That sounded like total lazy BS to me. What do you think? Is the service department being dishonest?
Mileage? Engine size? Hybrid? And what are the codes?
Has 40k miles, 2.0 L 4 cylinder, not a hybrid. This is an XLE Premium model.
I used an Innova 3130 Lat scan tool.
It shown P0335 - Generic Permanent, Crankshaft Position sensor A Circuit...
Also had shown problems in CAT, EVA, O2S, HTR, and EGR.
insufficient information.
what were the codes?
what does the warranty say it covers?
