Hey scotty.
I have a 2011 honda civic sedan.
- The car wobbles very aggressively when cold and after about 20 minutes of driving its barely noticeable. Replaced old tires with new ones. Changed sway bar links bc rubber was torn. Didn't change a thing. When it's really cold outside the car feels like something is about to snap almost like the suspension is made of rubber but after a while it almost disappears entirely. Any ideas?
Did you change all 4 tyres? What tyre pressure are you maintaining?
When was the last time you got a front end alignment?
@inthrustwetrust
Hi. Yes all 4 tyres. I got the Dunlop SPFM800.
Usually I keep them at 33 psi the recommendation is 32 but the higher I go in pressure the less wobble I get but I don't wanna over inflate them.
Got an allignment about 4 months ago and still no improvement.
Bump....
It doesn’t seem to be from suspension Is the engine is running lean?
@yaser
It's actually a bit rich. Can an engine make a car sway and wobble?
How did you check the air/fuel mixture?
And yes, if it is too bad, your car shakes bad and if your suspension is not good, your car wobbles
@yaser
With my scan tool.
so could it be a bad engine mount? when I shift to Drive sometimes I hear A metalic snap sound usually when the car is parked downhill. I started holding the break pedal whenever it's parked downhill just to avoid that snap and then release and drive away just fine.
also a couple months ago the dashboard started rattling just a bit when idling. I'm assuming a bit of rough idle. but the wobbling is my main concern right now.
