Scotty,
I have a 1982 corvette. After compression testing, I am pretty sure that I have a stuck exhaust valve on one cylinder. Is there any chance I might be able to get that un-stuck without having to pull the head off? I know it's a long shot but, if I can save the time and money of pulling the head, I'd really like to. Marvel Mystery Oil? Seafoam? I'd really like to exhaust (pardon the pun) all options before I pull the heads. Also, if one of these might work, does it stay fixed or is it just a temp fix that I'll have to deal with again later?
Thanks!
Seafoam is a $5 or so fix, so why not try it.
But if your valve is really stuck, the carbon on the valve stem that makes the valve stuck in the valve guide is not exposed to the fuel/air (if intake) or exhaust gas - how is Seafoam, or any other additive going to get into there to clean the carbon off the valve stem?

Yeah, I know it's a really long shot. I'm just hoping to not have to pull my heads off. I've been getting myself more and more comfortable with the idea though.
