My Question, if you'd be living in Canada at -40 degrees and 2 + feet of snow winters... Would you still drive a Toyota Pickup truck or SUV, I'm assuming you wouldn't recommend a sedan or anything with such a low profile or engine covers to the ground?

It depends where you drive, what you intend to do with it, and how well the roads are maintained.
Look around you. What are other people driving?
