Scotty, I have a 2005 Toyota Yaris with 1.3 gasoline engine, 300K kilometers on the clock, running great, manual says change timing chain. Should I, even if I don't hear rattling and car runs fine. Thanks

I would install a new kit. chain, tensioner, guides etc.

It may run fine until suddenly it doesn't, and then you have a much bigger more expensive job on your hands.

It depends on the cost and general condition of the car. That kind of mileage is quite high for that engine. I don't know how much life is left for that kind of engine. Is it worth doing it financially?
