Scotty,
After my 2012 Acura TL sat for long periods in the garage during the covid shutdown I noticed a substantial decrease in my cabin airflow. Having visions of expensive fan motor replacements I took it in for a scheduled oil change and did an engine and cabin filter replacement. The service rep came back and told me they thought they had found the problem with my airflow. He showed me my cabin filter chock full of birdseed courtesy of some little rodent hoarder. Airflow issue solved rodent issue to be solved. As you say, start simple and check your car after it has set for longer periods.
