Your Wife's car

Dear Scotty,

I recently purchased your wires car.  It's a gold 2002 Lexus ES300 with 117k miles.  It has the active suspension, which is worn out.  The transmission is starting to slip when you come to a stop and then accelerate away.  The transmission fluid is clean and pink. The fluid is full when checked with the dipstick but there is a slow leak under the car.  Any thoughts on how to stop the transmission from slipping?  Also, as far as the suspension is concerned, would it be OK to change out the struts to the non-active versions or would it be best to have the originals rebuilt?  Please let me know.  Thank you for your time and expertise,

I would drain some of the transmission fluid and add Lucas anti slip transmission fluid and pray it works, otherwise you need to spend a fortune for rebuilding that transmission which is not worth it.
About the suspension, you can swap them with regular ones.
