Hi Scotty,
I found the website yourmechanic.com that offers a lot of services for your car at home. Have you ever heard of them and are they good?
I need to replace timing belt and waterpump for my 2004 Toyota Highlander V6 with 154k miles in NYC. They are very transparent and quoted me for a total of 800$ (500$ labor, 300$ parts for waterpump, timing belt + accessories and coolant). The parts are new aftermarket ones. Is that a good choice for the price or should I find a guy who uses OEM parts?
Thanks in advance and big love from NYC.
Stan
The problem with the company is basically their leaching off of mechanics . They get the mechanics job and they take a percentage of the profit and you never really know how good the mechanic is who does the work the spells you since they're paying a percentage of their profit to some company that doesn't do anything except set it up
