| Answer to: Subaru BRZ in a six speed auto as first car? | 5Relevance | 1 year ago | Justin Shepherd | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Sports cars and drivers just starting out don't mix very well. Your or your parents' car insurance will skyrocket if you buy that car. Throw in that the car would be brand-new, your insurance will enjoy your monthly payment, you or your parents, not so much. Personally, I'd skip buying sports cars until you're 25 or so. Your premiums will decrease significantly, and you'll have a few years worth of driving experience before you go whole hog on buying one. I got my 2017 Mustang when it was brand new in 2018, I was 27 at that time. I still have it. I have full coverage on both my truck and Mustang and it only costs me $150 a month. I've never been in an accident, and I've never gotten a ticket in the 12 years I've driven. My wife's insurance on her 2017 EcoBoost Mustang alone costs her $150 a month because she's gotten tickets. | |||||
| 2018 Audi SQ5: Should i choose this as my first car used? | 5Relevance | 1 year ago | Corvette13 | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Im questioning whether i should buy a 2018 Audi SQ5 thats used, its at Triple B Autos in Foley Alabama, i think they are a private party, it has 84,482 miles on it, it is an Automatic Transmission… I decided to watch your videos just for the fun of it. Looking at the photos they do not show the engine bay, is this a bad thing? they also dont show the backseat or the rear part of center console, is this a red flag to not buy the car? Thank you. | |||||
| Answer to: Should I buy a 21-year-old Volvo as my first car? | 5Relevance | 1 year ago | Chuck Tobias | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Buying a 21-year-old European car as a first car is not a good idea unless you live in Europe. In the U.S. they are expensive to maintain and repair unless you do the work yourself and even then parts can be expensive. A much better first vehicle would be a well-maintained older Corolla or Civic, avoiding models with known problems. (Inherent problems with a particular model and year can be found with a simple internet search.) If you are determined to purchase this car only a good mechanic, preferably one familiar with Volvos, inspecting the car before pur ... | |||||

| A better first car would be a Toyota Corolla or Honda Civic. I'd stay away from Chrysler products and stay away from carvana. That, and other mass-market used car flippers, not only tend to have the highest prices they are favorite dumping grounds for people looking to easily get rid of bad cars. | |||||

| Hey everyone! I'm in the used car market to buy my first car! I have come across 2 possible options from dealerships: 2007 Lexus LS 460 L V8 with 73,555k miles for $14,500 no accidents 2017 Acura TLX 3.5L V6 with 23,465k miles for $24,700 no accidents Both of these prices seem suspiciously low, considering their relatively low mileage and there is a 10k price difference between the two. I hope to keep my first car until I need to make constant serious repairs on it and keep the cost of ownership low. Should I consider either of these or keep looking? | |||||
