| Hi Scotty, My daily driver, a 2019 ford Escape I bought used (cuz nothing in my price range was available last year) is about to go on a road trip from Boston to Florida ~1500 miles. Doing my trip pre-check, in addition to finding out that the temp-spare was at 23 lbs of pressure I noticed that there was a "little black box" in the upper right corner with a couple of RJ11 wires plugged into it. Since the ford app told me I also needed to update my Sync3 software, I called ford customer service and was very disappointed. First they said the new software " ... | |||||

Unfortunately, within the first month of taking possession on Dec 16, 2023, I have faced recurring issues, primarily with the car randomly refusing to start. I took the car for two dealer, first they replaced the battery but it did not solve the problem. Second attempt, they told it might be the battery junction box. | I'd avoid them, they aren't aging well: If its an EcoBoost engine, man those are weak engines and they are electrical nightmares. Try the search bar for more info by other members as the Explorer is a commonly asked about car. | |||||

| From someone who owns a 22 edge with similar miles, don’t. Unless you enjoy spending time and money at the mechanic or having to hope you’re lucky if you can drive more than a couple thousand miles without a major component breaking. | |||||

| I would change the belts (if it has a timing belt). I would also change the coolant as well. Other than that those are well built cars. I have a 2022 edge and I love mine. | |||||
| 2013 Ford Edge SEL - Buzzing question | 17Relevance | 2 years ago | Fixor-repairdaily | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| As it has been frigid where I live, my edge for the last three days has been making a buzzing or grinding noise (sounds like a vacuum cleaner) when I crank it up cold. The noise seems to come from the transmission. Especially if I turn the steering wheel left or right. Once the vehicle warms up, the buzzing/grinding noise stops. | |||||

| I owned an edge. Drove well, rode well. Then...it was recalled for risk of engine fire. If you really want to dissuade yourself, check out the resale value. They drop like a rock as it is not a popular SUV choice. I would pass. | |||||

| Hello Everyone, I posted a few months back in regards to seeing if getting a companion SN95/ new edge era Cobra/Mach 1 would be a good buy to go along with daily driver. She is a 40th anniversary 3.9 V6 2004 mustang with 107K miles. Now I am looking for some advice on the do`s and don'ts when it coms to restoring a salvage title mustang from that same era. My reasoning: I avoid the overpriced car ma ... | |||||
