| Answer to: Used SUV Ford Edge SEL | 22Relevance | 5 years ago | Blbuffington | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| I've owned 2 Edges (one Edge and one mkx) of that body style. My wife loved her Edge, we didn't have a problem with the water pump bc I would keep a little AT 205 reseal in with the oil at all times. (At205 is really hard to find right now) I replaced strut mounts often and sensors need to be replaced upon occasion. I would only recommend the FWD and keep it low mileage if possible and expect not the best gas mileage for it's size. Overall it was a really comfortable ride. | |||||
| 2008 Ford Edge heavy brake pedal pressure. | 22Relevance | 5 years ago | Car5 | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Why does my 2008 Ford Edge have heavy brake pedal pressure compared to a 2011 Ford Edge? New rotors and pads and still the same heavy foot pressure. Is there a simple fix to get a lighter brake pedal pressure? Thanks. | |||||

| See below: I would avoid it. The Edge Sport has the 3.7L Duratec V6 which (along with the 3.5L Duratec V6 available on other trims) is reason alone to pass on it. | |||||

| Answer to: Door edge paint chips from hitting things | 22Relevance | 5 years ago | scottykilmer | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| If you only care about Ross get some touch-up paint buff it off then touch up paint but if you do that it's never going to look perfect but you can get those cool little Edge clips that fit on the Edge of the door and they glue on and then they won't chip anymore | |||||
| Should I buy a Ford Edge | 22Relevance | 5 years ago | acefighter | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Would you consider a 2018 Ford Edge a reliable SUV? A family member of mine test drove one and liked the ride and look of it. Would it last at least 150,000 miles without any major problems? The Edge has around 36000 miles on it and is the 6 cylinder. If I recall I heard the 2.0L EcoBoost has a history of problems. | |||||
| Answer to: 2011 Ford Edge and 2001 Honda Accord | 22Relevance | 5 years ago | goldengears | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| I'd say you should stick with the Ford if you can. The 2001 accord won't last long due to it's old age. You will also be missing out on many modern features tat the Edge has to offer. You should probably just get it reprogrammed because it will cost less, and the Edge is a better car. | |||||
| New battery for 2008 Ford Edge | 22Relevance | 5 years ago | Car5 | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Had my old Edge off duty for over a year and the battery is way past it’s due date. Living in West Coast Canada, any recommendations for a new battery. Lordco, Canadian Tire, Costco, or one from the Ford Dealership? Also I have had the radio replaced once under warranty and tested a few times also under warranty however never was the problem solved. ( the radio will turn on sometimes even when the ignition is turned off. Has anyone every experienced this with their 2008 Edge? | |||||

| Top two choices for sure. It really depends on the specific cars you are comparing. Sometimes Honda will have the Edge. Sometimes Toyota will have the Edge. Overall, Toyota has a slight Edge. | |||||
| PSA to all Vehicle Owners About Oil Changes | 21Relevance | 1 year ago | fishingandcarsenthusiast123 | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| 2022/Ford/Edge/Titanium/AWD/8 speed automatic/2.0 Ecoboost/39,400 miles Hello Scotty Kilmer forum, This is a public service announcement to all vehicle owners. I was getting ready to change the oil for routine maintenance in my 2022 Edge as it has been 5,000 miles since my last oil change. However, I was curious about what the oil looked like. The oil was completely burnt out and dark even though it was only changed 5,000 miles ago. See the attached picture of an oil sample taken from my dipstick about why you NEVER let your car go more than 5,000 miles b ... | |||||

| ... Now if you have to buy a Ford I’d buy an Edge.keep in mind the Edge will go 100 or more mi IF you maintain it well. And I mean oil change every 3k mi regardless of what manual says or even if you’re going to use full synthetic, doesn’t matter. Spark plugs have to be changed every 60k, install a oil catch can since the motor uses gasoline direct injection. If it’s AWD change PTU fluid every 30k regardless what manual says. Transmission fluid every 60k regardless what manual says. That’s how you will get that Edge to the 150k mi mark. Oh and be easy driving ... | |||||
| Answer to: Honda vs Ford | 21Relevance | 5 years ago | Kaizen | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| I must say, I incidentally rented an Edge. Never driven a Passport. I’ve driven a Pilot which is similar. I quite enjoyed the Edge. It had some pep. It felt luxurious for its class. I had a love hate with the touchscreen. Although I have never driven a Passport, I trust Honda’s quality a little more. And I’m not to concerned with the engine because it’s based on the Pilot and MDX platforms. So it is quite well tested despite being new. With that said not too sure about the transmission either way. The only thing that BUGGED me BIG TIME about the Edge ... | |||||
