| First Car Buying Advice | 9Relevance | 2 years ago | Ari Patel | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Hey everyone! I'm in the used car market to buy my first car! I have come across 2 possible options from dealerships: 2007 Lexus LS 460 L V8 with 73,555k miles for $14,500 no accidents 2017 Acura TLX 3.5L V6 with 23,465k miles for $24,700 no accidents Both of these prices seem suspiciously low, considering their relatively low mileage and there is a 10k price difference between the two. I hope to keep my first car until I need to make constant serious repairs on it and keep the cost of ownership low. Should I consider either of these or keep looking? | |||||

| ... sexy, as a first car, get something ultra reliable like a Civic, where you can sharpen your driving skills while still having plenty of fun. Getting a SLC 300 as a first car is just dangerous, on so many levels. Worst of which, you’ll be a risk to everybody else on the road, let alone yourself. Type in ‘first car’ in the search box of this website & you’ll find excellent threads on what to get as your first car. And I promise you, a SLC isn’t part of the list. Good luck & all the best. | |||||

| I don't think so... You'd be buying an OLD luxury car and spending a bunch of money fixing it and when those things break just the parts alone can cost a bunch. I would buy something newer and I really don't think having your first car also be the car you want to work on because what are you going to drive when your taking your project car apart to fix it or learn how to repair or modify things..? Usually guys have a daily driver and then they get an old honda or whatever they can find for cheap and gut the thing and turn it into something nice but that take ... | |||||

| Answer to: Are there late model Honda Insights good cars? | 13Relevance | 4 years ago | Kaizen | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| ... the Prius or Camry Hybrid and Toyota technology, the ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) and the electric motor go back and forth, throughout most speed ranges. The ICE actually drives the car. With the Insight Hybrid, the electric motor drives the car until about 45 MPH, and then the ICE may take over. The ICE acts more like a generator than actually drive the car below 45 MPH. So you basically have an gas powered EV, similar to a hydrogen powered EV, for anything below 45 MPH. One of the biggest benefits of the latest Honda Hybrid technology, is that whe ... | |||||

Consequently, the car problems exacerbated after engine rebuild by the engineer! The car owner wasn't satisfied with his repairs because it seems the engineer was deceitful. | Whether it’s a first car or an Nth car, always avoid one with a salvage title. Otherwise, the IS350 were good, reliable cars. As a first car, your insurance will be higher, and being a Lexus maintenance/repairs will also be higher. See below on salvage titles: | |||||
