| Did you have the TSB done, or not? You posted in your first post that that you were unable to access the TSB. You can. The dealer isn't going to fix stuff for free unless it's a "goodwill repair" when the vehicle is out of warranty, though, and you really shouldn't expect ford to care/ cover it. It hasn't been ford's style to care for years. ford's track record has been "Ford doesn't care" for at least the past 11 years. As an example, ford's engineers knew the PowerShift dual-clutch automatic transmissions that were being put in ford's Fiestas and Focuses ... | |||||

| Ranging from 2018 until now, the V6 has a Maximum Loaded Trailer weight of 3500lbs. (The 4 will handle light towing, 1500lbs or less) As little as your going to be doing it shouldn't be a problem at all, the car will be fine. | |||||
| Slowest selling used and new vehicles | 25Relevance | 3 years ago | Whatchamacallit | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| According to a recent study by iSeeCars the following 10 vehicles were the slowest-selling used cars and all took longer than 60 days to sell on average: . Buick Enclave: 64.3 days Chrysler 300: 64.7 Chevrolet Blazer: 65.9 Land Rover Range Rover: 68.4 Tesla Model X: 71.4 Cadillac XT4: 71.9 Land Rover Discovery Sport: 73.6 ford Mustang Mach-E: 75.8 Buick Envision: 82.3 Tesla Model S: 88.3 . Meanwhile, the following 10 new cars were the slowest-moving and averaged more than 80 days. . Infiniti QX80: 87.2 Nissan Murano: 88.7 ford edge: 93.6 Nissan Leaf: 95.2 Lincoln Aviator: 105.1 Mazda MX-5 Miata: 107.3 ford Mustang: 108.6 Buick Envision: 117.0 Land Rover Discovery Sport: 119.4 Jeep Cherokee: 128.7 . Overall, used cars sold in 49 days on average, which iSeeCars noted as an improvement over a year ago. At the same time, new car sales have slowed by 25.7 percent, and electric vehicles of all types take twice as long to sell on average than they did in the previous year. While that’s not the best news for automakers, it could mean better prices and a stronger negotiating position for buyers in the finance office. Then again, with the exception of the Mazda Miata none of these vehicles are ones Scotty or we recommend to buy in the first place. . Source: | |||||
| Answer to: Ford hybrid reliability | 25Relevance | 2 years ago | Kaizen | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| My top choice for hybrids is Toyota. And then Honda. And in third place, cars that have Toyota technology in it. Depending on the year, ford used Toyota (Aisin branded) hybrid transmissions in their cars. And most were ford Duratec 4 cylinders that were decent engines. (someone correct me on that if my memory is mistaken). However, newer generation ford Fusions used a ford branded hybrid transmission. It’s hard to say whether it was just a rebrand of an Aisin transmission, or ford manufacturing the Aisin transmission themselves. Or ford making their own ... | |||||
| Ford Edge 4-cylinder for light towing? | 24Relevance | 2 years ago | RobbieR | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| I'd thought to focus on a late model edge with a 2.7l v6, until I found out about the timing belt. How are the late model 4 cyinder models for light towing? I tow a <1,500 lb load less than 2 miles, twice a year. Is towing capacity a real concern for such "light" use on an edge 4 cylinder? Thanks, Rob, Toronto area. | |||||
| Answer to: Used SUV Ford Edge SEL | 24Relevance | 5 years ago | Blbuffington | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| I've owned 2 edges (one edge and one mkx) of that body style. My wife loved her edge, we didn't have a problem with the water pump bc I would keep a little AT 205 reseal in with the oil at all times. (At205 is really hard to find right now) I replaced strut mounts often and sensors need to be replaced upon occasion. I would only recommend the FWD and keep it low mileage if possible and expect not the best gas mileage for it's size. Overall it was a really comfortable ride. | |||||
| Answer to: Should I Buy a 2021 Ford Edge? | 23Relevance | 3 months ago | Chuck Tobias | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| That model is only available with ford's "EcoBoost" turbocharged engines which overall have a reputation for poor reliability and longevity, and they cost a fortune to repair. In the U.S. that model has recalls for engines intake valves breaking, seat belt pretensioners not working, and failing rear axles. (Ford holds the crown for being the recall king.) Canadian-built fords may have been OK decades ago but I would not count on that being the case today. | |||||

| Hi Scotty. I've been shopping for a 2005-2007 ford F350 4x4 dually 6.0 diesel for the better part of a year and a half. As we all know, it's very difficult to find one in decent shape for its age and typical use history. Also, I acknowledge the well known, well documented pattern problems with the 6.0 Powerstroke. My goal was to find the cleanest, rust free example with relatively low miles within that three year production run. I looked for a good balance of miles and engine hours, as well as a clean body and chassis; free of any problematic rust. I c ... | |||||

| Seems ford still can't get their backup cameras right. Now, something in the accessory protocol interface module can overheat, leading to a blank backup screen. The recall affects the 2021-26 ford Bronco and 2021-26 ford edge. I don't know why people need backup cameras. I was taught to look in all of my mirrors before backing up. My Mustang has a backup camera and I don't use it. The backup camera screen even says check surroundings before backing up. | |||||

I was heading from MA to Jersey and 10-15 mins left of the drive as I got off the jersey turnpike I notice a loud rattling noise. Whic I knew it was the cracked flywheel which I luckily limped to my hotel and left it. The next morning I tried having ford tow it to a dealer who was 8 mins away and was going to charge me 150$ to tow.
