| DO NOT BUY! Dodges are horrible horrible cars, honestly if you want a car to last, get a Toyota or a Honda! Or heck to a Lexus I'd you have that kind of money to get a challenger! Reliability ALWAYS comes first my friend, spend I wisely. Dodges make the worst vehicles ever! And no one listens...Stay away and buy a Lexus, Toyota or a Honda | |||||

| Yes, I would stay away, esp. as a daily driver and you plan to put lots of mileage on it. Even though some of their powertrains are pretty solid, you still have overall FCA quality issues to deal with overtime. The only way I would get into a challenger is through a lease and under warranty, then give back before the bumper to bumper warranty is up. | |||||

| I'm considering purchasing a challenger. That was until I saw your bit on Caravans. Yes, it was manufactured in Canada. Yes, it has a V6. Most likely it is a LLC. Scotty, should I stay away from 2018 challengers in general? | |||||

| Searched previous posts and watched Scotty's vid on fuel injector cleaning with run-rite challenger has 104k mile Sunday: car begin to not acceralete well, rough idle--almost seemed like a plug misfire. Autozone read p0202, p0302, and its typical p0456 its had for many years (along with 3 gas caps). Tuesday: 1/2 tank fuel, out in bottle of gumout regain high mileage. Started and drive for 20 min. All seemed normal, like there never was an issue. Then about an hour later, drove across town with it poor acceraleration again (better than Sun) and shaking like at old school V8 at stop lights. Heavier push of gas pedal seem to run better. Now at 1/4 tank, should I put in another bottle of gumout and drive until empty, then fill up? Or take to Valvoline and have them do the $120+ fuel cleaning? Or just take to my mechanic and stop avoiding the inevitable $500 to $1000 repair bill I am sure it will be... Thanks | |||||
| Dodge Challenger engine vibration and noise at specific rpm | 19Relevance | 5 years ago | Ajaxswim | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Hey Scotty, I have a manual 2017 Dodge challenger scatpack with 20,000 miles on it. I have added long tube headers, borla atak exhaust, and a comp cam shaft. My question is; what do you think may be causing a vibration/ light grinding/rubbing noise that only occurs specifically at 1800 rpms? I’ve had the headers checked to make sure they arnt rubbing, and I’ve been told that if the cam was the problem there would be way more issues. The noise seems to be coming from the front end of the car, and only happens as I am slowly accelerating through 1800 rpms or w ... | |||||

| $350 for a very low mileage 2011 Dodge challenger SRT with a 6.4L Hemi V8 (470 hp/470 lb-ft torque) - with Track Pack or without? (which adds the 6-speed manual) - from a friend you know and has been gently driven - that is very rare!!! I am not a fan of the quality of the modern muscle cars from The Big Three but that powertrain is pretty solid and you paid $350 which is nothing. If I were you, what the heck I would keep it for a while and enjoy it. Stay on top of all the maintenance (esp. engine oil and transmission). Just be aware the build quality is ... | |||||

| I too wanted a challenger, and the one I went to see had 16,000 miles on it and it already had oil dripping down the whole motor down to the transmission pan. I did not buy the car for that reason. If it wasn't for me getting under the car with a flash light i would have bought that car. Two weeks later the dealer called me up and told me the car was a thousand dollars cheaper. The car is a money pit. It would not be a good first car for you to buy unless you have a money tree out back. The car looks awesome though, but they are not worth it. Dodge builds ju ... | |||||

| Do you have any source with statistical information about a 2010 Dodge challenger RT with a 5.7L HEMI engine using an Ancel AD410 ODB2 scanner. What parameters are the norms for my engine. Like Short term and long term fuel reading etc etc etc?. Is there a place where i can get this information to properly use this ODB2 scanner to gauge and diagnose the engine operational use. I love the useful information you give. It very helpful in maintaining the longevity of a cars' operational life with the low cost to maintain it. Thanks... Keith H. | |||||
