$350 for a very low mileage 2011 Dodge Challenger SRT with a 6.4L Hemi V8 (470 hp/470 lb-ft torque) - with Track Pack or without? (which adds the 6-speed manual) - from a friend you know and has been gently driven - that is very rare!!!  I am not a fan of the quality of the modern muscle cars from The Big Three but that powertrain is pretty solid and you paid $350 which is nothing.  If I were you, what the heck I would keep it for a while and enjoy it.  Stay on top of all the maintenance (esp. engine oil and transmission).  Just be aware the build quality is not the best and electronics may give issues over time/mileage before the powertrain does, but again you got it for $350.

Worst case, it’s a weekend toy. Definitely thank your friend - very generous of him!

@patrickmiami One thing to especially be aware of is the 6.4L Hemi V8 came with cylinder deactivation (or what Dodge calls Multi-Displacement System or MDS), which can potentially wear out/damage the engine over time. Yours is low mileage, but it would be a good idea to disable it. Go to our cylinder deactivation sticky under FAQ and you can read more about it. Also scroll down to the Dodge section, and you may want to look into an OBDII device by Range Technology (listed there) to disable MDS on your vehicle.

If you like it, keep it. You won't get that much for it when you sell it.

If it really has that low of mileage, you should be able to get years out of it yet.

If you hate it for some reason, you could try to sell it, but good luck convincing people of the mileage.

If I were you, I would keep it and enjoy it.

So you paid $350 for an SRT Challenger 392 with 8k miles. {black}:deceitful:

yes 350,the codger is a friend, he s very kind, generous wealthy guy, He gave 3 of his employees what ever car they wanted.

I'm a mechanic. Not sure what you want to know. Keep it if you want to, sell it if you don't. If you paid $350 for it, who cares if it breaks?

@patrickmiami language please!!

You know it's bad when @InThrustWeTrust says something about it. I think that's a first for me. Lol. I think OP left anyway as he didn't offer any more replies. {blackemo}:hotdrink:

Yeah I’ll let a lot slide, but name calling other members & rude language, both in the same reply is a blatant violation of forum rules.

Oh I agree with you 100%. Plus not many f-bombs get dropped around this forum anyway. It's usually kept pretty clean. You guys all do a great job.

Thanks for catching that @InThrustWeTrust. Abusive people will be shown the door. Insta-ban.

LOL perfect picture

Keep it, you will never ever get another car that drives down the road for 350 dollars. So if the thing broke tomorrow you already got your moneys worth. And if you want to sell it I'll give you the 350 plus the 600 you put into it because I know the tires are worth that.

Hold onto yours, who knows how long it’ll last..

Here’s Scotty’s opinion of the V6 (I know) -

You only paid $350 bucks for it so if you like it keep it as a weekend toy and have fun with it.  If it starts to fall apart get rid of it.
