| I know that you have made it very clear to stay away from the Nissan SUV's. I am curious about your thoughts on the new frontier and if they are using the Jatco Transmissions that have been a problem... You have done reviews of the older Nissans but I would love to hear your thoughts on the new ones. They seem to have put a lot into the interior and the new engine. | |||||

| Hello! I have a 2000 Nissan frontier, 3.3L, 145000 AT. It rough idles and it stalls. After the third time it will stay on while shaking and as it warms up it works but it misfires and shakes. I got code P0340. I changed the crank shot sensor with after market ones 2 times but it is still the same. Then I checked the new sensors and the old one for resistance.Motor Rad sensor showed 721; Beck Arnley 660; the original one 555, although this one has a slight bump on the bottom of the metal part of the sensor. I checked the connector for continuity and it shows ... | |||||

| ... Colorado/Canyon looks interesting but isn’t available yet, and even though I think it will shrink the quality gap with the Taco, being a new GM product you know it will have flaws (one of them being price $$$). And the Ranger is just kinda OK. I personally wouldn’t get a frontier, but if you need a midsize truck it is a rational option. Is your local Nissan dealer an honest, reputable business? That might be the deciding factor. | |||||

| 2003 frontier knock sensor code keeps coming back | 15Relevance | 4 years ago | Jeremiahcollection | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Scotty love your channel! My $800 2003 Nissan frontier issues seem to be never ending. I’m in the truck for about $6000 including repairs. Suspension, tie rods, shift solenoid, knock sensor and did body work and painted it. I really want to keep the truck but the knock sensor code keeps coming back. I really don’t want to give up on it but I can’t keep putting more money in it. Are knock sensors an ongoing problem? It causes the check engine light to come on and it won’t pass California smog. Should I keep repairing it or sell it? | |||||

| I’m replacing my 2005 Tacoma TRD off-road just wondering your thoughts on the 2022 Nissan frontier pro-4X? I love the Tacoma‘s they’re just so overpriced right now. I know you’re not a big fan of Nissan mainly because of the CVT’s. I keep my cars for a very long time, I do like this new body style. Thank you Richard from Southern California | |||||

| I have a 2004 Nissan frontier Xe, 2.4 liter, manual transmission. It has roughly 123,000 miles. About 6 months ago, I cleaned the throttle body like in Scotty's video but ever since then, anytime the truck is rolling (either with the clutch pressed or in neutral), the RPM's shoot up to about 1500 (sometimes up to 2000 during the colder weather months) and it doesn't come back down until I come to a stop. Otherwise, it idles totally normal. It only happens when the truck is rolling. I have replaced the MAF sensor and intake temperature sensor. I have had 3 me ... | |||||
