| So I am considering buying a Ford fusion between the years of 2017-2019 and there are three different engines. The 1.5 L eco boost, 2.0 L eco boost, and the 2.7 L eco boost V6. Which engine do you think is the best for the Ford fusion? | |||||

| Actually the Ford fusion and Ford 500 have the same TF-80 transmission. The list of Ford cars with this transmission is below: Ford Motor Company Ford 2005–2007 Ford Five Hundred 2006–2012 Ford fusion (US)[7][nb 6] 2007–2014 Ford Mondeo MkIV 2.3 160 PS Petrol and 2.0 TDCi Diesel[8] 2006–2014 Ford Galaxy 2.3 118kw / 160PS Petrol (as standard gearbox) | |||||

| @joshhuck The OBDLink wireless/bluetooth dongles ($50-100) are great and come with their own app. I also use the VeePeak bluetooth dongle ($35) with the OBD fusion app ($6). The OBD fusion app and OBDLink app are literally the same...but with these dongles you can use any app you like. I personally like these apps because you can data log and also look at live data "dashboards" which you can customize. | |||||
| 2006 E320 CDI as a daily driver? | 14Relevance | 5 years ago | GrizzzlyGoat | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Hey scotty, hope you're having a good new year. My Dad and I own and work on our own older Mercedes, and my moms 2012 Ford fusion 2.5L has been great for us, but the transmission is starting to concern me a little. even at 122 thousand miles. I have been thinking about maybe gifting my mom a 2006 E320 CDI (diesel) in the case the tranny on the fusion gives out. My mom used to drive the Merc my dad does, but since my dads Windstar died after 325k miles and plus the fact that she drives a 40 mile commute, the gas mileage made much more sense for her. Are there ... | |||||
| Answer to: Acura tl vs lincoln mkz 2013 | 14Relevance | 6 years ago | Kerem | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| The Acura TL is a lot more reliable but the Lincoln is also decent it's a Ford fusion platform so if it is a non-ecoboost platform then it could be alright they ride great very luxurious but the Acura TL would be more reliable. If you want an MKZ, get an older one like 2010 2011, because the 2013 was a new generation of the fusion so the engines were not that good. | |||||
| Answer to: Opinions about Lincoln MKZ | 14Relevance | 6 years ago | Kerem | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Its basically a Ford fusion which is an excellent cars but the newer ones you need to be wary about. Not an expert on these cars but I know that the fusion's are excellent cars with the non ecoboost engines if that has the same engine and transmission do some research and consider it only after bringing it to a trusted mechanic. | |||||
| Answer to: best cheap car. | 14Relevance | 6 years ago | Kerem | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Ford fusion would need to be late 2000's non-ecoboost for it to be reliable. I would consider the Ford fusion which is a much better car. | |||||

| Of the 3 vehicles you mentioned, Explorer, Escape, and fusion, the fusion has been announced as being discontinued. The 2020 Escape and Explorer have been announced as "completely redesigned" and unless otherwise announced, will be continued in production. From sources such as Consumer Reports and J.D. Powers, reliability is considered "average". | |||||
| How reliable is this transmission? | 14Relevance | 6 years ago | Kerem | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| ... video about the Ford 500, he said that the 6 speed was total garbage he had customers where the transmission went out at like 20 000 miles. Let me remind you that this is an AISIN transmission. How come? Is it about the application in every single make model or is the same transmission a transmission? The Ford fusion from 2006-2012 has this but he put the fusion as one of his top 5 best cars to buy, which I assume means that he doesn't intend the transmission to go out a lot. Volvo also uses it but I know that the Volvo AISIN 6 speeds are reliable Scotty di ... | |||||
| RE: Cars to buy as a recent grad | 14Relevance | 6 years ago | Kerem | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| The Ford fusion is a midsize car and is very reliable engine transmission etc. It is called fusion because it is a mix of Volvo technology when it comes to safety and especially the 2010-2012 are very safe and have "European driving dynamics" Words I heard on almost EVERY car review on this I have no experience Scotty says he is impressed by the ride comfort cornering safety and reliability | |||||

| @jebrim yeah, but consider some of the mazda's also had jatco and ford 5 speeds. Saturn vue what about the transmission the rest of the car is junk so i would stay away. A 2005 or so Impala 3.8 could be ok but I think the best i the fusion and the Pontiac. But the Vibe had an optional 2.4 which is a garbage engine my friend has that engine burns oil like mad so all together a 2012 Ford fusion would be my pick | |||||

| 2018 Ford Fusion Hybrid starting problem | 13Relevance | 2 months ago | gamerbydesign | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| 2018 Ford fusion Hybrid has no power anywhere when I get in to start the car. No headlights, nothing. After repeated attempts to start the car (push button including open and closing the door too) the dash lights eventually will come on and the car will start. FOBs all have new batteries. Checked batteries and all are okay. Thought it might be a relay. However, if I drive it for 20 minutes and stop to go to get gas it is like it never happened. Drives fine, no problems. Thoughts? | |||||
| 2010 Fusion 3.5 Cold Start noise | 13Relevance | 3 months ago | Mugfin | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| 2010 fusion Sport makes weird noises when starting, only when cold. Sometimes it sounds like a belt, sometimes it sound like metal to metal. Thinking it is the bendix on the starter not retracting quick enough when it’s cold, any feedback would be appreciated. Is there any way I can send videos? | |||||
| Should I buy this used Fusion hybrid | 13Relevance | 8 months ago | mixer35081 | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| 2018 Ford fusion SE Hybrid 5k, 160k miles no accidents, runs and drives fine, no accidents, no trouble codes. The only thing that concerns me is the battery since my OBD app (OBD Facile) wasn't able to check the hybrid battery (such as its charge and so on. Also, it checked for 2006-2012 fusions so that was another issue. I guess I'm also asking for a good app to check this car with. I'm going to be inspecting it again today and I want to make sure I don't buy a car with a busted battery. The guy said 80% but of course you can't just take his word for it. | |||||
