| See the carcomplaints site, for this year and model. Two things Scotty noted, recently: 1. The dodge charger is no longer in production. The engineering unit has been reassigned; 2. In a very recent video, Scotty rips Fiat Chrysler, LLC, for not even pretending to care about working with one of Scotty's customers over expensive and defective elements of a recent Caravan. | Hey, Kilmer my 2007 dodge charger randomly turned off in the middle of the freeway about few months ago. It was terrifying I could’ve crashed and died but I pulled over on the side safely by just using my brakes and steering wheel. I tried putting water in the radiator and charging the battery but never turned back on, so my buddy had to hook it to his truck to get it to my house. Recently my buddy who is an ex mechanic took a look and he said that he’s for sure is the alternator because the battery works we took it to a store to charge it but the car still ... | |||||

| I have the following vehicles and drivers: 1998 Toyota Camry LE with 170,000 miles driven by a 22yo 2000 Ford Mustang Base V6 with 235,000 miles drive by a 19yo 2014 dodge Grand Caravan RT with 210,000 miles driven by my wife and a 16yo 2016 dodge charger RT with 233,000 miles driving by me We are planning to purchase a newer used Toyota Sienna or Honda Odyssey within the next year for my wife and the Grand Caravan would be used only by the 16yo. | Hi Scotty, hope you are doing well, I know charger, Impala, and Taurus are generally not reliable cars compared to the Accord and Camry, but if you could rank between charger , Impala ,and Taurus in terms of reliability from best to worst, I saw one of your video of an Impala in your video that has 470,000 miles , got some mixed reviews for the Impala, thank you Scotty | |||||

| The Challenger and charger share the same platform. The Camaro was the least selling muscle car of the four that are left. The Hemi V8s have lubrication problems when idling, Scotty has discussed that before. Longevity and reliability in a muscle car isn't really available. GM canceled the Camaro, brought it back, and is canceling it again in the relative near future. Every single one of their other muscle cars is also long gone. The Nova, GTO, Firebird/Trans-Am, Cutlass, Chevelle... The Challenger and charger were also retired for 20 years and came back in the mid 2000s. They will soon be retired again as well. The Mustang is the closest to fit that bill, reliability and longevity. Especially older ones, not the automatic 10-speeds and Chinese sourced standards they have today. The Mustang has never gone out of production, unlike every single one of its competitors. Pre-2017 Mustangs are better made. The automatics are Ford-built copies of a ZF transmission. The Coyote V8s are good motors, providing they aren't beaten on constantly. The V6s are also good engines, and plenty powerful enough for most people. | |||||

| Yes the ADM batteries are good now for charging it if you don't want to take the battery out of the car I don't know of any battery operated trickle charges but you can get any trickle charger and any of those power battery packs I have like 12 of them I'm testing out here where you just plug the trickle charger into that battery pack | |||||

| I have a 1997 Mitsubishi Diamante garaged in NYC 114k miles. I don't have much trouble with the car. It's in good shape. But since I rarely drive it ( milage gives that away ) I am not giving the battery the juice it needs There are no electrical outlets in the garage space. Is there a trickle charger that is portable, can plug into the electrical system thru the lighter? ( can't leave the hood open all the time ) . I could charge the charger at home and bring it down every few days to keep the battery topped off. I will buy a AGM Battery but not sure what I can do ( by the way are AGM batteries better? | |||||

| The PentaStar V6 is junk regardless of what trim level the trunk says. SRT's last the longest? Not from my experience. I've replaced A LOT of Hellcat superchargers in very low mileage SRT chargers due to premature bearing failure. Poor quality is poor quality, and that's just how it is. I traded my 2019 charger R/T for my 2020 Accord because I was already seeing quality issues at 2 months of ownership. I would avoid the charger altogether. | |||||

| If have t have the charger lease it for three years, don’t put very many miles on it. Just so you can say you had a new charger for three years. If I where you, I would buy a good Toyota SUV for say $30,000. Then get a good quality used Mustang, Subaru WRX, Mazda MX-5 or whatever performance car you desire as a weekend toy | |||||

| Hello, I was just wondering and wanted to get peoples opinions on this. I have a 2014 civic lx with 134k miles on it. Its my first car straight out of colllege, ive owned it for 2 years, annnnnddd recently ive been very tired of it. I think as a 24 year old now, is time for a big boy car. I dont know what to do, should i just go for my "dream"car which is a charger srt (like most dumb young people lmao) but ill be realistic, i cant afford that one lol. So ive been looking at the 2020 charger RT, but im not sure if thats honestly a good investment? IM always hearing that these cars suck and that its expensive and so that kind of brings me down and bums me out. Scotty always talks smack about chargers so idk. I wanna be like screw it, im only young once ima go for it. If not that then what about a new civic SI? (even though scotty talks smack about those too haha) I would not abuse either one f these cars, id obviously speed every now and then on the freeway for fun or something but i wouldn't do something like constant donuts lmfao. idk, i just want peoples opinion. | Hi Scotty and Scotty members, I'm new here on the forums, but I've been watching Scotty for a while. I know chargers aren't the most durable cars, and I am planning on getting a V6 2011-2016ish. The mechanic I usually go to told me that the SRT is more durable and that it's harder to break, that I won't be spending as much money fixing it compared to the SXT or the SE versions. Another mechanic mentioned that the V6 is actually bad, and that I should go for a V8 that the V6 breaks more quickly than a V8, but I thought the V6 saved more gas and helped the car last longer? Any thoughts? Thank you so much 🙂 PS: Overall I'd like to get a charger version that will last me the longest. I don't race nor drive like a maniac, I want a charger that'll last. | |||||

| I have signed a contract for a 2021 Toyota RAV4 hybrid – delivery June 2021. The RAV4 Hybrid has the auxiliary battery located in the boot area (rear compartment of the vehicle) and has (I believe) a CCA of 420. The dealership advised me that Toyota Australia does not recommend the use of battery charges on the auxiliary battery. I own a Cteck MXS 5.0 AUS smart charger. Will it be safe to use the Cteck smart charger when the vehicle the turned off as with any conventional ICE motor vehicle. Toyota hybrids have a reputation of the auxiliary battery going flat when not driven for as little as two weeks. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Kind regards Phil Lynagh Australia | |||||
