Hello yall I am currently looking at a 02 camry at 18.8k mileage asking for 3.8k. No codes but the evap system monitor was incomplete; a small 10 minute drive around town was good (didn't have time to go on a highway)--it shakes a little bit at slow speed on start up but then passes away. It has been hit by a deer, which broke the radiator, condenser and the fender (which was bended back), as well as replacing the hood and front bumper. The title is still clean but still under the previous owner's name (which is sus as this car might just be a car lot car). Opinions?
I4 or V6?
I4
If the title is not in the name of the seller, run away.
Why?
scams
Can I have a bit more detail as how it works? Also I thought that dealers don't have the title under their names either.
well you need to transfer the title to you right? How are you going to do that without the titled owner?
@barry_liu, there are many kinds of title fraud. What we're referring to here is commonly known as "title jumping".

A 20-year-old Camry with only 18.8K miles? Not likely. Or is the "." a typo and it's really 188K?
188k sorry
