Hello,
I have a 2003 Toyota Sequoia 4x4 227,000 miles. For the last month or so it has been sporadically hesitating for a second or 2 when going from a stop. It did it very few and far between at first. Now it will sporadically shut off from a stop usually. Sometimes when I'm just driving down the road. I will put it in neutral and it starts back up again like nothing happened. It usually happens after its been sitting for a while and I pull out of the driveway it dies. But sometimes it will happen after I've been driving down the road a ways. It will either hesitate or completely shut off. I start it back up and it runs like nothing happened. I cleaned the electronic throttle body about 3 months ago. But it didn't start happening until the last month. I took it to Toyota and they had it for 4 days and they could never get it to act up. It ran fine for them the 4 days they had it...of course. 🙄 But then I drive it the next 2 days and it dies on me both days and hesitates. It also has 0 codes. No check engine light, nothing. Any thoughts of what it could be? An electrical issue? Thank you!
It ended up being the Fuel Pump Relay. 🙄 lol
Cheap fix! Well done.
Besides what @InThrustWeTruts said, check the battery terminals and connecting cables and make sure the battery terminals are clean and free of rust. Load test the battery and alternator as well.

I had the fuel pressure checked, replaced the fuel filter, I replaced the cam shaft sensor, replaced the throttle body, checked all the grounds. After replacing the throttle body, it definitely helped. It doesn’t do it as often, but it still hesitates randomly.
Any other thoughts? 😁
Thanks guys!
