Hi Scotty. I drive a 2007 Matrix, and recently my engine would hesitate to start, until i touched the battery terminals, moved it around a bit, and even at some extremes I hit the terminals with a stone, spanner.
Last week, I was advised to get a new battery. I did! It got easy, but started again!
I was advised again by the mechanic to change my Kickstarter. I did not have immediate funds to change the kickstarter, so I simply changed the Kickstarter Brush.
It got easy again, but today after a few days of doing these things, it hesitated until I touched the terminals again!
Scott please help me out, what could be the problem?
Well you probably have corrosion somewhere in the battery terminals or you need new battery terminals. If the corrosion got bad and ate them up somewhat. Start by removing the terminals cleaning everything and everywhere where the terminals have a connection. Take them apart and see if there's corrosion
