I replaced all of my A/C components. I was thinking my compressor was bad. I tried charging system and realized compressor was not kicking on. I took it to a mechanic. He said he went through everything and it looks installed correctly. He said my issue is the compressor not grounding to the brain of the car. He said I could hotwire the compressor but he can not do it because of liability. Any idea how to do this. I'm having trouble finding anything on YouTube. Thank you

It's pretty simple. You put in a new fused circuit, preferably with a relay, triggered by a switch in the passenger compartment. Best to wire in the low pressure cutoff to prevent the compressor from running with too little refrigerant and oil circulating. You may run into problems with evaporator icing in which case you would need to manually judge when to turn the compressor off and back on.
However before doing that kind of kludge you might want to look further into getting it to work properly. At least get a wiring diagram so you can trace out the circuit and check that it's not just a case of a corroded or broken wire.
I will do the diagram first. If I don't find anything I will try wiring like you said. Thank you
We did just recently have a member who successfully hotwired the compressor on his Crown Vic and it worked out OK. Like his, it appears yours does not have a computer-operated control valve so it should work if you have to go that way.
