Scotty, my 2002 Honda civic VTEC EX is overheating. This is the 3rd time it happened. The first time I replace the thermostat and coolant. Bleed the system and it work fine. 2nd time happen bc I add too much coolant to the reservoir and it made a mess. Now to today I bleed it again and make sure I in the right level in the reservoir. I drove it and 30 min later while driving my temp gauge rise to red. I looked under the hood and saw no steam, no gurgling no nothing. Coolant change, thermostat changed, bleed system what else is the problem. I don’t want to hear that my head gasket is blown. It’s the last thing I want to hear. It only has 41k mileage Help.

temp gauge rise to red. I looked under the hood and saw no steam,

trapped air can do that.

It would be a good idea to test for a head gasket leak. If that's shot nothing else you do will help until it's fixed.

Other than that, is your radiator clogged? Water pump impeller OK? Cooling fan(s) working?

If I tested and it not the head gasket, even though the car has 41k miles and it’s 20 years old, could it be the water pump?

yup. It could be worn out.
