I have a 2013 Odyssey with 165,000+ miles with a VCM disabler installed (awesome investment). I am planning on taking my family on an around the country road trip next summer and our estimated trip will be around 10,000 miles (about 3-4 weeks long). I plan to change the oil before we leave and when we get back. But do I need to do an oil change in the middle? I always use full synthetic oil and WIX oil filters. It currently will use about 1/2 qt between oil changes (~5,000 mi).

I presume it's mostly highway miles, so you should be fine as long as you resume normal schedule after. Bring some oil, and keep an eye on the dipstick every time you gas up.

Yes, because 10,000 miles/2 makes 5,000 miles....
What's the problem? You take oil, filter, plug seal, canister and some tools with you -easy, because you will travel by car-.
