MY Radiator has a hole & It ran hot... i let it cool down put water & made it home. Then my car wouldnt start at all. I put in a new alternator so my question is should i put a bottle of Steel Seal in it & coolant to fill up the rest.?

You likely have blown head gasket. You can try but I don't think that would work in your case.
