I have a 2008 dodge Dakota 3.7 liter with an automatic trans that will throw a p0300 or p0305 code and start misfiring if it sits idle for maybe 5 minutes. The misfire will go away if I turn the truck off and back on again and runs normally with no loss of power until the misfire starts when idle.
I have changed the spark plugs and coil packs, and ran injector cleaner through a tank of gas with no change.
This has been an issue for 2 years that comes and goes and seems to happen more often if the weather is above 80 degrees or below 20 degrees (live in Michigan)
any guidance is appreciated, thank you
