Hi guys,
I bough new Toyota Corolla. today was my first 5000 miles Servirce and the deal said they will change the oil on 10k. I know oil should be changed between 5or 6 miles. I want to keep the car and I want to take care of it. What should I do? Thank you.
Like, when the car is at 10,000? or in 10,000 miles (15k on car)?
Either way, Id do 5k intervals.
We have a '21 Corolla and we changed the oil ourselves at the 5k and 15k mark and let Toyota change it at 10k and 20k. Now that we're done with the 2 free changes, we'll be changing the oil ourselves from here on out, at 5k mile intervals. Change it yourself it's easy to do.
Change it yourself or have a shop to do it. If you want the dealer to do it, offer to pay for the service and most likely, they can do it for you.
Personally I only use dealership for warranty and recall work. Anything else either myself or my trusted independent mechanic. So try to this for your car too. Also, as Scotty says "oil is cheap, engine is expensive"; oil and oil filter change is the cheapest maintenance you can do for your car to last. Change the oil and filter every 5k miles.
heard!
Thank you’ll much appreciated.
