13 F150 brake drag

I know there is multiple questions about F150 brake issues so I apologize if it's been asked

Over the winter I made an emergency stop to avoid an accident in front on an icy road. The truck definitely did its job and stopped perfect. After exiting the highway I noticed my front left brake was smoking. Drove 110 miles home after cooling off, no notable issue. A few weeks later I went to town, a 15 mile drive... 10 miles in I stopped due to a smell, got out and my front left rotor was glowing.

Several swear words later I had it at a tire shop. They replaced one of the rubber hose clamps at my request. I read online that can cause brake drag on these trucks. Stupid and simple issue that is cheap to fix.

It seemed to work because I could then drive it the 15 miles back home without the brake smoking. I left it parked a couple of weeks and then took it on a test drive, this time with a thermometer and after an 8 mile drive my front left was 340° and rear left was 180°. The right side was 100° front and 78° rear which is normal temp for the braking I did.

Why would a sudden stop cause the left side of my brakes to malfunction like that?

I know that was a long story for such a short question, but sometimes knowing the exact moment something fails may hold the key 😅

If this works, thank you in advance

seized caliper, dislodged brake pad, failed brake lines ... several possibilities. You'll just have to get it checked out.
