So i recently saw a 85 chevy silverado for sale and got thinking about how it’s fared through the years. This specific one has a 350 v8 automatic transmission and has 255k miles on it. What are y’all’s thoughts and opinions on this specific gen silverado? i was thinking on offering $600-$900 for it to have as truck to learn basics of workin on and fixing cars. Thoughts?

have you got an extra $5k for a transmission? rebuilding one of those isn't really basics.
This is for a secondary vehicle right?
