Hey Scotty Im from Australia i have a 1988 Toyota carmry. When cold every day in the morning the engine won’t start after 3 to 4 cranks, even if the car has been sitting for a couple of hours after use it will do the same thing even if i want to use it again after work to get home. Some times it will misfire randomly for a while and then go away. I have checked everything like the fuel pump, spark plugs

Check the fuel filter
clean the MAF sensor

You may have a bad coolant temperature sensor.
