Hey scotty, i have a 1989 Chevy K3500 1Ton it has the 454 engine and a manual transmission.
it recently started over heating i replaced the radiator & radiator hoses and changed the thermostat it seems the water pump is working but still overheating. i also watched your videos on overheating and did the combustion leak test (head gasket etc..) and it stayed blue. I'm not sure where to go from here any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like the oil pressure sending unit and the coolant temperature sending unit have taken a dump at the same time.  33 years old.

Did you use OEM parts for this truck? You might want to replace the water pump as well.

How do i know if they are OEM parts?

Temperature sending unit.

Or a failing water pump or both.

Don't know if it makes a difference but also the oil pressure gauge is spiked (stopped working). and the truck only overheats when driving with either a load or on the highway (50mph or above).

Check the water pump. The impeller may be corroded or loose.

They would come in GM-labeled packaging with GM part numbers.

Or ACDelco
